Funding covers up to 50% of eligible project costs and the project must include at least two Australian industry entities (one of which is an SME) and at least one Australian research organisation.

The lead applicant must be an Australian entity with an ABN, incorporated and trading in Australia. Projects must be industry-led and collaborative, and must not have already commenced.

How to apply

Assemble the consortium: at least two Australian industry entities including one SME, and at least one Australian research organisation.
Agree the collaboration terms, IP arrangements and cash and in-kind contributions.
Submit the application via the business.gov.au portal during an open round.
Merit assessment by an independent committee.
If successful, execute the grant agreement and the consortium agreement before project start.
