Who can apply

IMPORTANT: B2S grants go to intermediary organisations - accelerators, universities, economic development organisations, venture funds and non-profits - not directly to startups. EDA states B2S 'grants fund programs that support innovators, entrepreneurs, and startups transforming ideas into the critical, emerging technologies of the future' and that EDA 'does not provide grants to individuals'. Startups benefit through the accelerators and capital-formation programmes these grants stand up. Applicants must be registered in SAM.gov with a Unique Entity ID.

  1. Monitor eda.gov and Grants.gov for the next Build to Scale NOFO. — link
  2. Register in SAM.gov (UEI) and Grants.gov; note EDA 'does not provide grants to individuals'. — link
  3. Submit the application through Grants.gov or EDA's EDGE system by the NOFO deadline.
