Deal-closing grant for a new project where a single Texas site competes with at least one out-of-state option; projected new jobs must exceed 75 (urban) or 25 (rural); local government support required; paid only after job and wage targets are met

How to apply

  1. Contact the Texas Governor's Office of Economic Development and Tourism early, before a site decision is announced
  2. Demonstrate that a competing out-of-state site is under active consideration
  3. Negotiate job creation, wage and capital investment commitments
  4. Obtain unanimous approval from the Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Speaker
  5. Execute the agreement and report annually
