Who can apply

Eligible applicants are agricultural producers with at least 50% of gross income from agriculture (rural location not required) and rural small businesses located in eligible rural areas.

How to apply

  1. Confirm the business is in an eligible rural area using the USDA eligibility map
  2. Obtain an energy audit or technical report for the project
  3. Apply through the USDA RD Apply portal or the state office
